Terms of Service

1. Service Description

Plintio ("Service", "we", "us") is a cloud-based human resources management platform designed for small businesses in the United States and Canada. The Service includes employee directory management, time-off tracking, document storage, onboarding checklists, HR reports, and billing management.

2. Eligibility

The Service is intended for business use only (B2B). By creating an account, you represent that you are at least 18 years old and have the authority to bind your organization to these terms. The Service is available to businesses operating in the United States and Canada.

3. Account Creation and Responsibility

When you register for Plintio, you create a company account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information during registration.

As the account owner (Super Admin), you are responsible for managing user access and ensuring that employee data entered into the system is accurate and lawfully collected.

4. Subscription and Billing

Plintio offers three subscription plans: Starter ($29/month), Growth ($79/month), and Pro ($149/month). All plans include a 14-day free trial. No credit card is required to start the trial.

Subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe. You may upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your subscription at any time from the Billing page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

5. Data Processing

You (the customer) are the data controller for all employee data entered into Plintio. Plintio acts as a data processor on your behalf. We process your data solely to provide the Service and do not use it for any other purpose.

A Data Processing Agreement (DPA) is available at plintio.com/legal/dpa for customers who require one.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Upload malicious files or attempt to compromise the system
  • Share login credentials or allow unauthorized access
  • Exceed the employee limits of your subscription plan
  • Reverse-engineer, copy, or resell the Service
  • Use the Service to store data unrelated to human resources management

7. Intellectual Property

Plintio owns the platform, including all software, design, documentation, and trademarks. Your subscription grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service.

You own your data. All employee records, documents, and company information you enter into Plintio remain your property. You may export your data at any time via CSV export or by contacting support.

8. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), encrypted storage, role-based access control, immutable audit logging, and regular security reviews. See our Privacy Policy for details.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PLINTIO SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUE, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

10. Warranty Disclaimer

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

11. Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. You may cancel your subscription from the Billing page. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, with notice where practicable.

Upon termination, your data will be retained for 30 days, after which it will be permanently deleted. You may request an export before deletion.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Delaware.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notification at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
